What we do

We are the specialist team within Community Barnet providing support and information to all children and young people’s services in the Borough.

There are 5 interconnected ‘programmes’:

*   Barent Council for Voluntary Youth services BCVYS

*   Safeguarding & Early Intervention

*   Barent Supplementary School Forum

Safeguarding & Early Intervention

This essential service provides organisations with specialist support for safeguarding policies, concerns over individual child welfare and protection, allegations against staff and representation on Barnet’s Safeguarding Children Board.

*   Specialist safeguarding advisor

*   Safeguarding Surgery, training and policy development

*   Criminal Record Bureau checks

*   Common Assessment Framework Advisor

*   Representation at Multi Agency Groups
